Benefiber
Benefiber is a plant based prebiotic fiber that provides the daily amount of recommended fiber to maintain good digestive health. Benefiber was created in 2008 to help nourish the growth of good bacteria that exist naturally in your gut creating an optimal environment.
The current packaging consists of a mix of greens and yellows with small organic graphics as well as a spoon and cup. The overall design of this bottle resembles something from the 1970s. The information is laid out in a way that makes it hard to read it.
For the redesign, I balanced brand consistency with modernizing the packaging and making it stand out on the shelf. I felt that the colors, logo shape, and font were important to be able to recognize the product and understand its purpose. However, I made a critical changes to bring the Benefiber packaging into the 21st century. The shape of the bottle is now sleeker, more modern and the outer shell is transparent so the consumer can see what it looks like. The label is made more readable and user-friendly by repositioning the text and eliminating nonessential information, and as a result, cleaner and easier to spot. Having the bottles shape change and adding teaks to the original color palette, I made sure to make Benefiber stand out from its main competitor, Metamucil.
